What is it about?

This article is about the effects of social networking sites on the religious beliefs of emerging adults. Using panel data from the National Study of Youth and Religion, I find that individuals who report using social networking sites are more likely to pick-and-choose their religious beliefs independent of what their religious tradition teaches, and they are also more likely to accept the notion that it is permissible to practice multiple religions simultaneously.
