What is it about?

When the older version of the most widely used diagnostic manual in psychiatry (DSM-IV) was revised to DSM-5 a recommendation was made to include a disability rating scale as a means of conveying information about a patients level of functioning. In the old system this was done using a scale called the GAF, but the new recommendation is for one called the WHO-DAS 2.0. It is a lot easier to interpret scores on such scales if they have information on scores in the general population - which is what this study provides.
