It is important to be aware of the challenges in order to improve prosthetic service delivery and ultimately mobility for patients with amputations living in rural areas.
Perspectives
Pre-prosthetic rehabilitation is essential in order for patients with a lower limb amputation to qualify for and receive a prosthesis. Having a prosthesis might improve their mobility, level of independence and quality of life.
