Effect on gait of hip brace on patients with hip OA

What is it about?

We have shown that a new hip garment can alter the position of the hip during walking for people with hip osteoarthritis.The garment may also reduce load through the hip. This is important because altering the load bearing area of the hip and/or reducing load through the hip could reduce pain and increase function for these patients.
