Why is it important?
Its quite important to get quick FLDs for simulations since FLD generation according to established standards take exhaustive experimentation etc. Product turnaround times are less and hence the FLD data if could be generated with minimal effort could speed up the product development process.
Perspectives
The numerical FLD generation using tools like CrachLab are important from industry point of view where the timelines could be tighter to finish a project. The effort required to generate a FLD for single grade of steel could be minimized with this novel method without sacrificing the essential accuracy.
