Why is it important?

Everyday we learn something new about how music helps us to regulate our inner states. However, there was the need of creating some solid grounds for the future. This article presents a critical analysis of the past research and suggests crucial guidelines for the future.

Perspectives

This was quite an inspiring quest! We analysed thirty-four publications in depth and worked hard to present the most relevant results from there. The most important message I take from this work was that there is still a long path to walk in this field and that the steps to take look now clearer.
