Why is it important?
This is a fast-changing environment and checking that regulations fall under common good rather than promoting a particular ideology or political will is critical.
Perspectives
These kinds of regulations can seem tedious, which makes it easy sometimes for dangerous precedents that have either intended or unintended consequences can creep under the radar. Vigilance from all at this stage is needed to make sure that doesn't happen and that AI and ML technologies are developed to good rather than harm
