What is it about?
Work is an integral part of human life and if the quality of work life of the employees is satisfactory, outcome will be good. There are myriad kinds of job-related aspects which entail health and safety issues at workplace. If these issues are not met with satisfactorily, the quality of work life of employees may be hampered and the outcome may be poor quality of work done. It has been found in the study that level of education influences the employees’ perception towards quality of work life.

Why is it important?
Our findings show that with an improvement in the level of education, employees of handicraft sector can improve their quality of work life.
Perspectives
Being associated with Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts and conducting training sessions for handicraft artisans over there, provided valuable insights for this study. We are sure that the study will pave way for an improvement in the work life conditions of artisans of handicraft sector where the process of manufacturing is largely dependent on the skill set of the artisans rather than technology.
