This article is helpful in solving a few questions about the upkeep pf the cavalry in the Mughal era. It tries to explain the complex issue of fodder management which assumes a lot of significance considering the fact that most of the horses were imported into India throughout history. The article also comments upon the issue of hybridization in relation to horse-breeds.
