What is it about?

Thymectomy via video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) has become a preferred method for thymoma in Hospital 103-Ha Noi-Vietnam. Data about thymoma in Vietnamese and the benefits of VATS thymectomy in this cohort of patients are still limited. Fifty-three patients underwent VATS thymectomy in Hospital 103, Vietnam from 10/2013 to 7/2017. Despite the small sample size, our initial favorable results reconfirmed the safety and benefits of VATS thymectomy in Vietnamese patients.
