What is it about?

Changes and lesions observed in control cynomolgus monkeys noted by microscopic exam are described. The monkeys were either from control groups of toxicity studies or were not assigned to studies; they were otherwise healthy and did not receive a treatment.

Why is it important?

There are only very few comprehensive publications on eye lesions in monkeys. The publication shares with the pathology community spontaneous findings that can be expected when examining eyes of cynomolgus monkeys microscopically and thus, a represents resource for other pathologists.
