What is it about?

It is common to say that Islam is incompatible with democracy. But is that the case? Citing many examples, this article questions this common belief. Alternatively, it shows how experiments of democracy in Muslim societies have been subverted by the combination of internal and external forces. That is, we must also talk about DE-DEMOCRATIZATION.
