What is it about?

Notwithstanding inspiring movements like the Fight for $15, union density and overall power continues in an unremitting death spiral. The labor movement must embrace a radical call for societal change, centered on organizing workers for power, and not be satisfied with economic wins that, while ameliorating crushing poverty, fail to change the trajectory of our nation and world.

Why is it important?

Our fight for social justice must be focused on power inequality. Income inequality is an outgrowth of power differentials - it's the symptom, not the original cause. Too many people in the movement have a hard time focusing on the question of power, preferring to frame individual fights in economic terms. That will only lead to a movement with limited ambition and scope.
