What is it about?

Intravenous nutrition is considered an additions risk for catheter-related infections. This publication reviewed all the available published literature. It was not possible to draw any definitive answers as to whether intravenous nutrition increases catheter-related infections.

Why is it important?

It is important to review all of the available literature in a systematic manner. This review will help researchers understand the current gaps in the literature and help clinicians to ensure their practice is evidence-based.

Perspectives

Nicole is a PhD Candidate at Griffith University in Brisbane. This publication is the first of four from my PhD. The review has informed the three Phases of my PhD.
