Training for residents in all fields is lacking. This paper is a call to action to resolve this.

Why is it important?

Nutrition plays a key role in health and providers must be educated in the signs, symptoms, treatments, benefits and risks of the impact of diet on health and disease.

Perspectives

Physicians are educators and driven to do our best for our patients and those who follow. We are not. We need a solid fix to providing broad based nutritional education to residents in all fields.
