What is it about?
The improvement of solar induced ventilation by the use of a proposed solar chimney constructed on one side of the building in hot dry climate of Algeria. This work is issued from a PhD thesis subject undertook at Leeds university in 1989. This was a founding work about solar chimneys. It was our invention. The solar chimney is used as a design to enhance passive cooling with night air movement inside buildings of hot climates.

Why is it important?
It improves thermal comfort for the building occupants without any additional cost. It enables the reduction of electrical energy consumption and pollution of the environment.
Perspectives
Many research publication of other authors were published based on my fondamental work. Some of them they respected the ethic and made refence to my published work and my thesis, whereas some fo them they delibrately or not ignore it. I have discovered by chance that, a college named "Lycée Français Charles de Gaullea" in Syria was built using the concept of solar chimney without contacting me or refering to my work. I think my solar chimney concept opened a large field of research work for others. In has been applied in different countries.
