Why is it important?

This is a new way to improve the convergence of sliding variable since the new linear correction term is added to super twisting algorithm and forms a damper effect to decrease its overshoot

Perspectives

I think it is a new way to accelerate the convergence of sliding variable in super twisting algorithm. It introduces a new feedback loop about auxiliary variable and produces the damping effect to reduce overshoot of sliding variable, then shortens the settling time and improve the convergence
