Cardiovascular manifestations of snake envenomation

What is it about?

We assessed cardiovascular outcomes in inpatients following snake envenomation in a South Indian tertiary care centre.

Why is it important?

Inpatient stay and mechanical ventilation were found to be significantly increased in snake envenomation with cardiovascular effects, especially where an underlying co-morbidity existed.
