What is it about?

This paper examines the development and implementation of the government's counter-terrorism Prevent agenda, with a particular focus on different perspectives from within central government, at the local level and among Muslim civil society organisations. It reveals the varied and contested ways in which Prevent was implemented. It concludes by drawing attention to the increasing centralisation of Prevent, highlighting concerns about the implications of this for Muslim civil society.
