What is it about?

We have developed a new methodology for analyzing historical photographs in transport history research using newly available technologies . We apply this methodology to a case study of the streets around the Vienna State Opera House in the period from 1860-1949, and explore broader applications of newly available technologies for historical research.

Why is it important?
