Why is it important?

Religious conflict is increasingly an important part of world politics, and greater efforts are required to understand why it occurs. Additionally, this article points to the importance of religion-state relationships in understanding how religion affects politics, which supports a growing number of studies in the field.

Perspectives

This is my first study focusing on the importance of religion-state relationships, which has informed much of my work since then.
