What is it about?

This brief highlights findings from original research conducted by McKay and Timmermans on the social effects of uninsurance for communities. We find that individuals in communities with higher burdens of uninsured are less likely to perceive their neighbors as trustworthy or sharing the same goals and values compared with individuals in communities with low levels of uninsurance, net of other individual and community characteristics.
