What is it about?

This paper examines the way in which Palangyo employs the progression of his main character, Ntanya, from a broken, unhappy person to a man with a happy outlook on life. It is an African response and solution to a modernist pessimism.

The radical departure from the endorsement of tragedy and the focus on the crucial positive changes in the world view of the main character is what makes this paper unique.

Perspectives
