What is it about?

A non-contact and unmarked machine vision measurement method is used for measuring the transverse vibration displacement of hoisting vertical ropes. In a simulation experimental system, the proposed method and the laser displacement sensor were used to measure the artificial transverse vibration displacement of a vertical rope simultaneously, vertifying that the proposed method can be fairly reasonable and accurate.

Why is it important?

In the previous work, the vibration state of vertical wire rope in mine hoisting system has not been accurately determined, and this work solved this problem. The proposed method has also been verified.
