Why is it important?

Pedestrian-vehicular crashes in Ghana have become a hidden burden. Despite this, there is little interest in investigating this public health problem. This study is important because it identified risk factors for pedestrian-vehicular crashes in rural Ghana, and suggests what interventions may help to reduce these crashes.

Perspectives

This study is warranted because it identified risk factors for the growing pedestrian-vehicular crash problem in rural Ghana. Its findings will be useful for road safety advocates and policy makers.
