What is it about?

The book examines those who influenced William Tyndale's Theology. John Trevisa in his introduction to the Polychronicon. Wyclif and his followers. But the European Reformers had little effect on Tyndale - and he disagreed strongly with Luther. Although Erasmus influenced Tyndale, his theology did not take root in Tyndale's theology.

It shows that Tyndale's reformation was not influenced by Luther and the Continental Reformers; but that it depended on the English 'reform' of the 14th and 15th centuries
