What is it about?

In this study, the Iranian English literature faculties’ attitudes and viewpoints toward establishing the peace in the multicultural classrooms were examined. They were teaching in the United States of America’s universities. When the educators in the university are gaining more experience about the cultural issues, they are able to better manage the classroom, especially when there are some discussions regarding the cultural issues.

Why is it important?

The results of this study, help the university faculties, to improve their management in the multicultural classrooms which establishes the peace. In general, university faculties will perceive how to teach and behave in the multicultural contexts. It may vary from the educators’ perspective who are from the different nations, with different cultures.

Perspectives

Since Iran is a multi-ethnic but not a multicultural and multinational country, Iranian people have lack of multicultural knowledge in order to establish an effective communication with people around the world. This issue came to my mind when i was thinking about the Iranian immigrants, especially faculties who are teaching in multicultural classrooms. It was very important to me to know about their ideas and strategies they may apply to manage culturally diverse classrooms.
