Teachers, parents, and administrators need to be aware of how the structure of schools can make it challenging for even the most motivated parents to be involved.
Perspectives
Writing this paper was challenging as a former classroom teacher but I knew it was important for people to know that we have the ability to help parents feel wanted or unwanted, enlightened or kept in the dark, valued or intimidated.
