What is it about?

The importance of getting the job done is taking over our personal lives and causing a potential work/family conflict. The article is analysing the relationship between two greedy institutions–family and military. Which one of them is greedier and responsible for a potential work/family conflict? We found: 1) The greediness of the military outweighs that of the family; 2) contemporary military organization require the whole family’s support; 3) Slovenian military families remain supportive.

Why is it important?

The work/life balance is very difficult in many jobs, but it presents even stronger challenge in greedy institutions. This article is merely the first step on the way of researching wokrk/life balance in the military organization. We are currently in the phase of researching what impact has the military greediness on children and on women, who are (as carriers of the houshold) being subjected to double greediness.
