What is it about?

A 2014 survey of people in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K. shows that people today - in very large numbers - not only continue to believe in life after death but further believe that they are interacting with people who have died. We need understand more clearly why such ideas are so pervasive.

Why is it important?

Such ideas about ongoing contact with people who have died characterize as many as 1 in 2 individuals in North America and Britain - and undoubtedly are common pretty much everywhere. It is time we took such claims seriously.
