What is it about?

In situ reconstruction may be considered as first line treatment. Our results suggest that silver polyesters appear to be most appropriate for older oatients, and in order to limit reinfection, autogenous veins are probably the most suitable conduit.

Why is it important?

Our study suggest that the most appropriate conduit after in situ reconstruction for aortic graft infection should be adapted in line with the specific events and variables of each patient.

Perspectives

In older patients silver polyester may be preferable, whereas for younger patients autogenous veins appear the most appropriate conduit.
