Why is it important?
This book is important because it helps us understand the Israeli Jewish experience and identity, gets us thinking about the development of men in other cultures too, and brings to awareness the impact of bloody conflict and societal trauma on family life.
Perspectives
This book really gave me an inside view of the wearing emotional life of the parents of Israeli Jewish sons, and made me think about the impact of war on mothers world-wide.
