Why is it important?
Ultrasound is a non invasive and cost effective imaging method. Yet, doctors need to understand the method to be able to determine the medical question and interpret the results correctly. Therefore, a training for medical students appears to be important. Nevertheless, many universities have a lack of training staff and financial resources. Therefore, in this article a cost-effective strategy is presented an discussed.
Perspectives
I hope that this article helps to motivate other colleagues to implement ultraosund training programs for medical students also in times of low resources.
