Positive attitude of employees is the theme that can make Indian public sector undertakings more effective. The focus of the paper is to verify whether trust and participation in decision making would help in predicting the attitude of the employees.

Why is it important?
Exhibiting positive attitude has become the need of the hour for organizations in this global competitive business environment. It is known for the past research that positive attitude demonstrated by its employees has influence on important outcomes such as commitment, satisfaction and performance etc., Though there are several variables in organizational behavior, present study made an attempt to understand the influence of trust and participation in decision making on attitudes such as commitment and job satisfaction. A committed and satisfied employee with his/her overall job situations are expected to bring some positive changes in organizations working environment.
Perspectives
The present study suggests that organizations can enhance employees’ job satisfaction by improving participation. Participation allows the management of the organization to tap the skills and ideas of the employees for better efficiency in production.
