What is it about?
The Ijebu Ode's Ojude Oba festival have always been seen simply for its entertainment value. This paper examines if there is any hope of it been regarded as a manifestation of Yoruba cultural, socio-economic, and spiritual values.

Why is it important?
Our findings show that apart from the festival constituting a major commercial activity that brings about economic integration and development of the Ijebu community, it is an important indicator of the Yoruba cultural and spiritual values.
Perspectives
Writing this article was a great pleasure as it proves the extent to which spirituality - a core interest of mine - permeates human activities.
