Diabetes program prepares and support those fasting to improve ability to self-care.

What is it about?

The program prepares people with diabetes with the needed education and advice on adjusting their medication, with ongoing support through phone and email to enable them to manage diabetes themselves when fasting in Ramadan.

Why is it important?

Increasing prevalence of diabetes especially at a younger age, with increasing risk of diabetes complications.

This program helps ensure more transparent communication between people with diabetes who are planning to fast with their healthcare providers and preparation to manage any complication that arises with timely professional advice to manage their complications.
