What is it about?
We looked at patients who have any kind of injury or issue with their hands, and asked them about their pain levels, how depressed they felt, or if they have catastrophic thoughts. High levels of pain, depression or catastrophe were associated with high levels of disability. We conclude that psychological well-being affects functional status.
