What is it about?

Authentic leaders are those who are true to themselves when interacting with organizational members. This article discusses that authentic leaders may impact the success of complex organizational change. complex changes may be unplanned, non-linear, long-term, and including failures during this process. Thus, complex changes require persistence, hope, optimism, and resilience. These have been suggested as the outcomes of authentic leadership in past studies. This article suggests that authentic leaders have key roles in complex changes.

Why is it important?

This article may be one of the first articles that specifically discuss the implication of authentic leadership in complex change. In addition, it may provide practical ideas for organizational leaders on how they can become more effective in change processes.
