Why is it important?
Due to the length of the waiting list, the wait times for patients pursuing deceased donation has continued to increase. Living donation is the best option for patients to receive a kidney with the highest chance of survival in the shortest period of time. Some form of an education intervention could aid in the number of patients who decide to pursue living donor kidney transplant.
