What is it about?

Interviews of low income students who returned for their second year as well as those who did not return identified the factors that make a difference. The most important factor differeintiating these two groups was their commitment to completing. If students were committed they would do what they needed to do to be successful because the alternatives would not enable the students to have the life they wanted. If students were not committed, they believed that the obstacles were an indication that they did not belong.
