What is it about?
There is a lack of systems to support client decision-making based on the identification of cost effective alternatives for CO2 reduction. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a simulation system to identify cost efficiency and to minimize resource use based on life cycle cost (LCC) and life cycle CO2 (LCCO2) analyses, which are capable of performing systematic analyses for the reduction of carbon emissions.

Why is it important?
We suggested LCC and LCCO2 estimation structures to efficiently calculate a building project’s LCC and LCCO2 and proposed an LCC-based LCCO2 simulation model and verified the proposed model by means of a case study.
Perspectives
The proposed model may be used for further development of LCCbased LCCO2 optimization models.
