What is it about?

2024 sees an unusually large number of changes to the Equality Act 2010 - the main piece of equality / anti-discrimination legislation in Great Britain. This article outlines and discusses 7 areas of change. To a large extent these are textual changes which reinforce the law as it currently is - but may be necessary to maintain the position following Brexit. In one case, the change is a new provision (enhanced protection from sexual harassment).
