What is it about?

This is an example of a malignancy of B lymphocytes, causing enlargment of lymph nodes in an elderly gentleman, but also involving blood vessels, a rather unusual finding.

Why is it important?

This lymphoma had a peculiar phenotype, in that it expressed CD5, a marker usually seen in T cells rather than B cells, and caused cutaneous lesions, something more typical of another B cell lymphoma, which however involves only the lumina of blood vessels.
