Why is it important?

Indian tea industry is the second largest employer in India. Every year a huge amount of foreign revenue earns by the industry. Since the last two decades, the overall performance of the industry is not satisfactory due to several factors. The poor performance of the industry made its workers vulnerable. The economy of the region where tea is grown largely depends on the tea industry. The poor performance of the industry impacts badly on the social structure of the region. The present study deals with this issues.
