What is it about?
In the Philippines, young people who violate the law, called children in conflict with the law, are not put in jail, but are instead placed in a facility to be rehabilitated. The study documents their stay in a facility to determine how they are rehabilitated.

Why is it important?
This is a qualitative study that describes the life of CICL placed in a facility. Are they really rehabilitated? Or, is the facility a pseudo-jail?
Perspectives
We should care about how our young people are treated when inside the facility. If we truly want to apply restorative justice in dealing with juveniles, we need to ensure that when we place them inside a facility, they will come out reformed.
