This study is about the synthesis of new chitin derivatives and the use of these derivatives in the construction of Schottky diodes.

Why is it important?
Because, in this study, a highly conductive chitin derivative was synthesized. Besides, Schottky diodes made by using chitin derivatives synthesized in this study show photodiode properties.
