What is it about?

The will to live, strong will, and willful are terms nurses frequently use as they describe their patients. In this article, the will is explained. In addition, the author provides insight as to how this new understanding of the will in nursing practice, research, and education can be used.

Why is it important?

Nursing scholars have suggested the focus of nursing should be embodiment. This article describes one aspect of embodiment.
