What is it about?

This ethnographic study seeks to shed new light on a part of the youth in the Global South: those who are involved in social activism.

Why is it important?

This study contrasts with many analyses of the youth of Goblal South. The author shows that, despite unemployment and precariousness, these young people do not systematically sink into despair and the absence of future plans. Activism allows them to make a place for themselves within a collective and, above all, within the social order that is their community.

Perspectives

I hope that this study will contribute to a more contrasted view of a part of the youth in the Global South.
