End-of-Life Spiritual Attributes

What is it about?

Research is challenged by the lack of definition for spirituality. This research reports on a spiritual framework consisting of five common attributes that combine to form the essence of spirituality. Attributes were determined by analyzing 40 original research articles to see how researchers defined or described spirituality.

Why is it important?

Reducing the overwhelming construct of spirituality into five common attributes will assist researchers, providers, and patients to establishe a shared framework of spirituality and ease spiritual conversations.
