What is it about?
Oil palm solid waste is abundantly available. By thermochemical conversion, such as pyrolysis, the waste can be utilized to generate energy. So, its thermal degradation behavior is an important factor in considering the appropriate condition for the pyrolyis process.

Why is it important?
The most commonly used in the kinetic analysis of thermal decomposition of coal and biomass is the integral method proposed by Coats and Redfern. The Coats and Redfern method has been successfully applied to determine the kinetic parameters of oil palm solid waste.
Perspectives
Hopefully, this article can be used as one of references in studying pyrolysis kinetics of oil palm solid waste.
